Children & Young People

Children and young people, including babies and toddlers are very welcome at all of our services. On the first Sunday of each month at St. Michael’s we have an all age informal service at 9.45 am when children are actively encouraged to be involved. On the third Sunday the Family Communion at St. Michael’s has an all age talk.

We recognise the difficulty in growing up as a Christian in today’s world and aim to help young people and their parents by offering opportunities for growth and support. These include:

  • Baptism (Christening) preparation
  • Informal family services
  • Messy Church

We also have other events such as workshops, the Mothering Sunday service, Christingle and crib services.

Messy Church
Messy Church takes place on one Saturday in each school half term (see news page for dates). it lasts for about an hour and includes the opportunity for children to get involved in arts and crafts relating to a particular theme each month. At the end of the session there is a short period which includes a talk and some worship.

Contact Jan Woodfin 01256 397345 for more details about all of our children’s activities.
